Welcome To High School Math!
This is a one year course which covers topics like subsets, measurement of angles and segments, preparing for proofs, triangles and quadrilaterals, area, circles, volume, congruence, transformations and symmetry, similarity, and trigonometry. The Geometry textbook is: Geometry for Christian Schools, Bob Jones Press, 2000.
This course is designed to give the students a more intimate association with the balance concept of equations. These equations utilize complex fractions, radicals, and factoring, and are solved as many as three at a time. One of the main principles instilled in the minds of the students is the predictability or consistency of algebra, in that a problem may be solved in any one of several ways with the same answer as long as the rules are followed. The development of algebraic intuition is encouraged and applied to the subject using logarithms and trigonometry.
The Algebra II textbook is: Algebra 2 for Christian Schools, Bob Jones Press, 2000.
A review of algebra is followed by a more advanced study of graphics. The algebra course review of imaginary numbers is followed by an introduction to vectors. The relationship of studying all forms of equation solutions involves determinants, trigonometry, logarithms, and limits are followed by calculus differentiation and integration. The Advanced Math textbook is: Advanced Math for Christian Schools, Bob Jones Press, 1996
