Whitney Pawelek, ELEMENTARY
Welcome! My name is Whitney Pawelek. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Granbury, Texas where I played volleyball, basketball and track all four years of High School. Upon graduation, I was given the opportunity to play basketball at the collegiate level at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. There, I met my, now husband, Derek and received my Bachelors of Behavioral Science in Art Education. Upon graduation, I got married to Derek and worked one year as an Elementary Art Teacher and two years as a Preschool Teacher.
After much prayer and consideration, my husband and I felt the call to move to Redding so that my husband could attend ministry school. Through my three previous years teaching I developed a strong passion for teaching in a Christian School. It is extremely important that I am able to teach my students the truth about God's role in our daily lives.
I am overjoyed to have been given the opportunity to teach at Liberty Christian School and know that all involved in this school have a heart and love to see Jesus glorified on this earth. Along with being the homeroom teacher for Second Grade teaching Math, History and Science to First and Second Grade, I will also be the High School Art Teacher. I am thrilled that I will be able to teach art again and use my knowledge and skills to encourage students to love art!
I love spending time with my husband and golden retriever Otis adventuring out into the world. People give me the most energy and I love investing in others lives. My weakness is peanut butter M&Ms and sweet tea! If you have a minute, stop by and say hello! I would love to get to know you!
