andy paradis, High school

Fun Fact:  Mr. Paradis began attending school here as a fifth grader, graduated from Liberty Christian High School in 1985 and returned here as a teacher in 1994.

I attended Washington Baptist Teacher’s College and Christian Heritage College and earned a B.S. degree in Natural Science with a minor in Bible at WBTC. I completed my ACSI Teaching Certification there as well and taught for two and a half years at Tacoma Baptist Schools before returning to Liberty to teach here in the fall of 1994.

I enjoy teaching Science and Bible because of the impressive complexity of the systems that God has set up and it is exciting to see my students learn to utilize the basic principles of science – observation and investigation. I encourage my students to look at the world around them without being clouded by the nonsense of speculation that is so common in all levels of science education today. I remind my students that everything around us originated from the mind of God, although it has been terribly marred by the curse of sin. Without the consistency of the basic laws of nature and mathematics, we could not predict results in any area of life (or science) and through an honest study of math and science it becomes obvious that we cannot deny God’s providential interaction with us. As they learn to apply this idea, they can grow to be better students which results in them being more responsible citizens who glorify Christ in all they do.

...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
