Auction
This year’s auction is scheduled for
Saturday October 3, 2009 – DON’T MISS IT!
We’re on a Treasure Hunt
Annually Liberty Christian Schools holds a fundraising Dinner and Auction (silent and live) in the fall. Each year we prepare 150-170 gift baskets for our silent auction. You can help!!
In order for us to make all these baskets we need:
- baskets (ice chests, mini wheel barrows and tubs also work),
- packaging materials (bows, shred material, crumpled paper, transparent tape, cellophane or gift basket bags),
- gift items
When we prepare baskets we think in terms of “themes”. Some past examples include:
- Ski Package Get Away – Gift Certificates to Mt. Shasta Ski Park, ski caps, gloves, hot cocoa mix.
- Here Fishy, Fishy - Gift Certificate to Strictly Fishing, new fishing reel, fishing gloves, filet board and knife.
- Movies: In or Out - Gift Certificates to Cinemark, microwave popcorn, movie candy, DVD movies (family friendly), gift certificate for pizza.
- BBQ King - BBQ apron and mitten, tool set, marinades and BBQ sauces, BBQ cookbook.
Gift items may be purchased, or donated unopened, or gently used items suitable for passing on. Examples:
- Jewelry (do you get earrings EVERY holiday and you just won’t wear them all),
- Unburned candles or candleholders,
- Kitchen items (those still boxed “must-have” gadgets your friends gave you)
- Sporting goods (for things you’re now too old wise to keep doing)
- Gift Certificates (to places that you don’t go, or for items you won’t use)
- Movies (Opps…forgot you already had that one and bought another)
- Gardening Items (wind chimes, bird feeders, cute pots, hand tools)
- Home Décor Items (have you recently changed styles in your home but you have some very nice knick-knacks, pictures, etc.)
- Bath Sets/Perfumes (not your fragrance, or you’ll never use that many bath salts in this lifetime)
If you have items to donate please contact
