Sixth Grade – Karen Armstrong
Welcome to the 6th Grade!
I am extremely excited and blessed to have been given the opportunity to teach sixth grade. During my thirty-seven years of teaching, I have taught elementary, middle school/junior high, high school, and junior college. Out of all those experiences, I have chosen to spend most of my career in sixth grade. “Its in my blood”. I want to challenge my students to expand their knowledge in many different ways this year, not because they have to, but because everything they learn adds to who they are as individuals. Knowledge gives my students the power to think, to visualize their options, and to choose the best possible path for themselves. It is up to me to guide, respond, encourage, challenge, and teach to their learning strengths and help them develop ways to meet their weaknesses head on. “For God giveth a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy”.–Psalm 16:7. I look forward to a joyful year.
