Mon., March 22, Student choice – Written or Oral Report
The books chosen for the October, November, and March reports must meet the following criteria:
- They must be at least 100 pages in length.
- They must be books that the child has not read before or have previously had read to them.
- They must be from our school library or pre-approved by me.
There will be NO WRITTEN REPORT FORMS. Students are to develop their own written report. They must include the following:
- Title
- Author
- Introduction of all main characters
- Setting
- Problem
- Solution
- Their personal opinion about the book
Written reports are to be done at home by the child in proper, complete sentences. Parents may check these reports for spelling and punctuation errors. The structure, thoughts, and ideas must be the child’s own work.
There will be weekly reminders about up coming book reports in the Weekly Newsletter and lots of reminders in class…so…ALL late, unexcused work will be marked down 10% per day.
